On Ancestry, Gordon Oaten has found in the WWI Pensions section, a lengthy document about James MEDEX (comes up under MEDOX) whose next of kin is give n as Mother: Mrs E CALLAGHAN, 44 Hildyard Street,Grimsby, Lincs and this address matches the home address of James MEDEX and his brother John CALLAGHAN who worked on minesweepers. James MEDEX suffered gunshot wounds - hence the availability of the Pension details - and, as noted on his papers, died 28 December 1919.
