REGULATIONS.

NOT many miles from town, a young lady is teaching school. She sends us the following regulations provided her by the trustees, for the government of the school: -

No Swearin
“ fitin
“ quarrelin
“ nicknamin
“ reslin and jumpin
“ goin into any persons orchards, without the consent of the oner
No pinchin
“ stickin of pins into each other
“ pullin of hair durin skule
“ Courtin in skule
“ crackin of walnuts, unless dride
“ whisperin
Those rules must be observed, for a violation of those rules, wil be punished with the lash, accordin to the virdic of the trusties.


Men cannot excel in more things than one; and, if they can, they had better be quiet about it. The best that could be done with a good many of our schools would be to send them to school.
